Mercedes-Benz Unimog

The Ex-Military Mercedes-Benz Unimog, affectionately known as ‘MOG’, is the ultimate all-terrain vehicle.
4×4 variants were delivered to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) between 1982 and 1992, with 6×6 variant Medium Recovery Vehicle from 1996 to 1998.

Their beastly exterior, although impressive, is no match for what lies beneath, given their robust and endlessly versatile all-terrain capabilities, 4-tonne payload and adaptable design. Mercedes-Benz Unimog parts are easy to come by, and if you’re handy on the tools, you’re in luck.

During the Unimog procurement process, the (ADF) was insistent on complexity reduction built vehicles, ensuring they were not so specialised they couldn’t be commercially viable. Built to comply with stringent emission controls, braking and safety design regulations and a prerequisite of high adaptability, including; the cartage of mobile repair units and the ability to be airlifted. 

The diverse range of Unimogs can be kept original or modified your way, from agricultural, construction, transport, salvage and recovery purposes, to a camper conversion, food truck, sound stage, mobile pub and everything in between.
