Can Civilians Buy Ex-Military Aircraft?

This March Australian Frontline Machinery will hold the March 2021 Aviation Auction, auctioning demilitarised aircraft and spare parts direct from the Australian Defence Force out of Lara, Victoria.
Tucked away in our aircraft hangar are eleven ex-Military Aircraft and over 200,000 + Spare Parts including; PC-9/A Cranes, Propeller Storage Cases, Cockpit Access Ladders and hundreds of rare aviation parts ready to go under the hammer!

Civilians have the rare chance to score a piece of Australian Military kit, maintained and serviced to the highest standard. The auction will consist of eight Pilatus PC-9/A ‘Roulettes’, two Schleicher ASK 21 Mi Gliders and an Aermacchi MB-326 ‘Macchi’ grounded Jet trainer. These aircraft represent a piece of Australian aviation history and have played a crucial role in training and developing skills of servicemen in the Australian Defence Force.

Register here to be a part of our official launch event Friday 12th March. Inspection week runs from 15-19 March; if you cannot attend physical inspections, aircraft video inspections will be available through our Online Aircraft Hangar. A personal concierge can assist in showcasing spare parts and planes up close based on assets of most interest to you, plus you can schedule time with our CAMM2 data and logbook interpreter.

The Aviation industry has welcomed the news of an ex-Military aviation auction where local and international interested buyers can have a similar experience online as attending the event in person.
The March 2021 Aviation Auction will be 100% online with bids starting from $1AUD no reserve.
